Texas Student Athlete Test (TXSAT) Announces Statewide Certified Testing Standards for All Middle School & High School Athletes

Houston, TX — July 2026  

The Texas Student Athlete Test (TXSAT) has announced the launch of the 2026 Certified Student Athlete Testing Standards, establishing the first statewide framework for uniform, equitable, and UIL‑aligned athletic performance testing across all Texas middle schools and high schools.

TXSAT provides Free. Fair. Certified Student Athlete Testing for all sports and all campuses, with no venue, staffing, equipment, or logistical burden placed on districts or schools.

“Texas needs a unified, certified standard for evaluating student athletes,” said Jack Byars, Founder of TXSAT. “Every athlete deserves access to accurate, equitable, and professionally administered testing — regardless of district size, funding, or geography.”

The 2026 standards include:

• Certified testing protocols

• Zybek Sports® timing and measurement

• Multi‑sport evaluation framework

• District‑level reporting and dashboards

• Equity and access guidelines

• Zero‑burden operational model

TXSAT also announced the Texas Statewide Athletic Directors Summit, a virtual briefing for all Texas Athletic Directors, Superintendents, and district leaders. The Summit will present the 2026 standards, certification protocols, and statewide adoption roadmap.

“Districts are seeking consistency, equity, and clarity,” Byars said. “The Summit ensures every district understands the statewide standard and how TXSAT supports their athletes without adding operational burden.”

TXSAT is currently expanding statewide and will release its District Participation Map following the Summit.
